“With nearly a decade of experience in the beauty and overall service industry, Katie embarked on a creative journey as a self-taught freelance makeup artist shortly after high school. Prior to delving into the world of hair professionally, Katie spent valuable years working at the House of Blues in downtown Houston, adding a unique flair to her artistic palette.

In 2016, Katie graduated from the prestigious Paul Mitchell School Houston, where she not only honed her skills and knowledge but also contributed to the design team and completed the exclusive Phase 2 program. Currently, Katie proudly serves as a Color Specialist and Educator at Alchemy Salon in EaDo Houston. Her expertise lies in her passion for top tier color services and low maintenance styles, such as master blonding, creating the perfect lived-in balayage, and crafting vibrant, fashion-forward hues.

Outside of the salon, the things that bring Katie joy include delving into astrology and the metaphysical, offering tarot readings. She’s always attending concerts, cheering for the Astros, exploring little dive bars with friends, and spending quality time with her puppy dog, Freyja. Currently in her downtime, Katie can be found learning the art of crochet and indulging in her favorite pastime of rewatching whatever movie or show she’s hyper fixated on for the millionth time. And most importantly, Katie values creating a safe, inclusive space for all of her clients who grace her chair. And, always prioritizes physical and mental health both in and outside of the salon, for herself and her clients.
